Simplify for Joy #44: Reminding Ourselves

We love calendars almost as much as we love lists.

Marli makes use of a calendar to track her Office Fitness Challenge progress. It's designed and printed complete with motivational messages, fitness tasks, weigh-in dates and space to write down accountability notes. She says the satisfaction of crossing out each day is almost indescribable (and she's currently in 3rd place overall, so keep crossing those fingers and toes!).

Calendars or task reminders and alarms are great ways to keep yourself inspired and on track with any positive habits you'd like to develop and stick to. I'd be lost without my MS Outlook calendar at work, but besides our weekly Girls Dinner dates, I've never even thought of applying the same commitment method to my personal goals.

Having thought about it a bit more, it seems so obvious. You can use it for meal prep's, health checks, taking meds, pamper sessions, increasing activity levels, dinner dates, going to bed on time, remembering to sit down for your daily devotional/bible study, etc.
